Before getting started on NextCloud it’s important you consider the following questions:
- Is there a specific folder structure you need for your office, such as specific folders for departments or individual projects?
- Who will have access to these folders?
- How are you going to ensure every staff member is using NextCloud to back up their important documents?
- Do you need or want to use NextCloud’s integration with ResourceSpace to manage your large photo and video files?
Moving to a cloud-based backup and storage system such as NextCloud is also a great opportunity to clean up the hard-drive on your PC. Why not use this opportunity to encourage every staff member to:
- Delete files that are no longer needed.
- Sort and move files that are saved on the Desktop or Downloads folders to more meaningful places.
- Review your offices file storage systems and determine if a better folder structure could be implemented.
