What is ADRA Source?

That’s the question we hear most! ADRA Source is a suite of software solutions for ADRA, by ADRA, to help you do what you do best – change people’s lives. ADRA Source is about adopting technology to work faster, smarter and streamline the ways in which we operate as a Network.

Think about all the software you need to operate as an office, such as emails; website; a location to store and share documents, just to name a few. ADRA Source is the solution to all your software needs.

At its core, ADRA Source is driven by you and what tools you need to function. If there is something missing or needs changing, we welcome your feedback and input to improve.

Plus, thanks to ADRA Source’s INTEGRATION, these tools work in together making sharing within the ADRA Network easy.

Your burning questions answered

The name ADRA Source and its branding identity were first conceived in 2020, launched officially in 2021.

However, ADRA has specifically been tapping into open source software and working to streamline the ways in which we as a network operate for more than 7 years.

A hub by definition is a central part or central area.

We divided our suite of tools available under ADRA Source into what we call the 4 ‘hubs’ to make things easier.

These include:

  • ADRA Host for your office’s hosting, communicating and storage needs.
  • ADRA Productivity for your office’s project management needs
  • ADRA Marketing for your office’s marketing and fundraising needs
  • ADRA Admin for your office’s administration and human resource needs

The ADRA Source suite currently offers 16 tools to meet your office’s technology needs.

Click on the links to learn more about each tool:

Most of our tools integrate and can be accessed through a SSO. Learn more about this integration HERE. Here’s a snapshot of what this looks like across the 4 hubs:

Currently, most tools are free. However, the objective is to ensure sustainability by cost recovering these tools directly from Project budgets.

Afterall, ADRA Source is for ADRA, by ADRA.

Majority of the software solutions available through ADRA Source are ‘open source’ and are the best tools available on the market today.

But what is ‘open source’? Open source software is freely available and allows ADRA to work directly with the developer to modify our own version of that software to the ADRA context.

Plus, we have the ability to host this software on our very own ADRA Cloud servers with security that we can manage.

You will note when you visit the website for tools such as LogAlto or ResourceSpace – the URL is _.adra.cloud

That means this open source software is external to the developer, is 100% managed by ADRA, and only we as a network have access.

Absolutely! ADRA Source is for ADRA, by ADRA. That means these tools are driven by what our Network actually needs to operate in the most practical terms.

If these tools aren’t meeting those needs – we want to know! Either talk to your regional representative, share your feedback at feedback.ADRA.cloud or email [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!

Because the majority of these tools are open source, we can reconfigure, integrate or add to them. This is also made possible thanks to our partnership with the developers of these software.

If there is a specific tool you need to operate that’s not being provided by ADRA Source – let us know. Your feedback is what drives and improves ADRA Source.

Additionally, if you are already using a tool and are wondering if it can integrate with ADRA Source – again, let us know.

No, you as an ADRA office are not required to use the tools under ADRA Source.

However, we do of course encourage you to use as many of these tools that are applicable to you.

Why? The beauty of ADRA Source is its centralisation – improving the way we as a Network work together and share.

Plus, using the same software means you don’t have to pay $$$ on these tools and I.T. support – all your needs can be met in one place.

Our servers are currently based in Canada and Northern Ireland.

To get started using ADRA Source’s tools, you can register staff in your office to be onboarded in our Directory, Office Manager. Visit the Register page on our website for more details.

Thanks to our single sign on feature, you can instantly sign into all default tools including Community (HumHub); Drive (NextCloud); Media (ResourceSpace); and Projects (LogAlto) with the same username and password that was onboarded in our Directory (Office Manager).

Certain software that are external to ADRA are excluded including email, if you purchased a domain with an external host, Canva Nonprofit accounts etc.

ADRA Source is proud to have it’s very own team of technology experts that are available to the ADRA Network.
