ResourceSpace Checklist

Before getting started on ResourceSpace it’s important you consider the following questions:

  1. Who will have access to your photos and videos on ResourceSpace? Do you need some staff (such as your communications/marketing staff) to know whenever new photos are added.
  2. Have you discussed how all staff will access and use ResourceSpace (including common tagging of assets) to ensure the files remain easy to find.
  3. Do you need or want to use the integration between ResourceSpace and LogAlto to manage project specific photos quickly and easily?
  4. Do you need or want to use the integration between ResourceSpace and NextCloud to simplify the way you store, organise and backup your files, including your photos and videos?

Using a Digital Asset Management System such as ResourceSpace is also a great opportunity to review how you are ensuring your photos and video are being used appropriately and effectively. Use this opportunity to ensure:

  1. You have appropriate consent to use the images you have stored (ResourceSpace will make tracking consent easy).
  2. You are not storing unnecessary files and delete any that are no longer needed.
  3. That all files are available – not saved on the desktop or downloads folders of individual staff members.
